Apologies to Technology Bites readers for the lack of posting lately. I am in India right now on a vacation, i will return in March 2nd week and will continue regular posting. Until then please stay with me.
Google Books Downloader
Google Book Search already provides downloads for the books that are in public domain. Books that are not in public domain are only available as a limited preview in Google Book Search. You can download the individual pages as images though but its tedious job to do.
Test updates to Windows 7 Beta on Feb 24th
Microsoft is pushing test updates to Windows 7 Beta (Build 7000) users via Windows Update. These updates won’t have any features, fixes or patches these are just test updates pushed to test the Windows 7 update process.
Customize Adsense Font
Adsense ad units can now be customized by changing the font from the default to Arial, Verdana and Times. Although the choice is limited to only 3 fonts it is still useful for users for matching the ad unit font to their web application font.
Google Chrome May Get Extensions By May
The much requested feature for Google Chrome is the support for extensions, in fact the lack of extensions is preventing users like me to fully migrate from Firefox to Google Chrome. According to Google OS blog this will change pretty soon, Google Chrome may offer support for extensions by May 2009.
