BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) for both Android and iPhone is expected by the end of the summer, BlackBerry CEO promised to release the app by the end of the summer, as we nearing the Summer end we start to see some details emerge. BB has setup a landing page for the folks who are interested in learning when BBM for Android and iPhone is coming.
There is no timeline or exact date given for the launch of BBM for Android and iPhone, but if you are interested and waiting for the messenger you can add yourself to the mailing list to get notified. BlackBerry has started testing BBM on Android with some early users on board.
Recently Samsung Africa announced that BBM will be offered on Galaxy devices, which looks like just a marketing speak as BBM for Android will be available through Play Store and will support majority of phones.
BBM coming to other platforms will be good for the company but it is not so for users, now a days we have umpteen number of messaging apps and its difficult for users to switch to messaging apps often.
