Download Apple’s iOS 6 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad

As announced earlier Apple has released the next update of it’s mobile operating system, iOS 6 for iPod, iPhone and iPad. It is available now for download for users, if you don’t see it keep checking.

iOS 6 is already rolled out to users, that means you can download it using iTunes or by over-the-air update. To update using iTunes connect your device to iTunes and click update.

To update via over-the-air, go to Settings –> General –> and Software Update on your device. Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi before doing this.

iOS 6 includes over 200 new features along with enhancements. One big change in iOS 6 is the introduction of new apps made by Apple. The Maps feature is not upto the mark according to the early reviews and missing lot of features like traffic, transit etc in several countries. If you are avid Google Maps user you can hold on still Google Maps standalone app is released.

iOS 6 is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (4th gen), iPod touch (5th gen), iPad 2 and the new iPad.
