LG Optimus L5 II Android smartphone global rollout begins

LG has officially launched the Optimus L5 II Android smartphone, the latest in the L series II family of smartphones. The global rollout of this phone started now, Brazil will get the device first and then other countries including South and Central America, Europe, Asia, Russia, Middle East and Africa.

LG Optimus L5 II will come with Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 along with updated LG’s Optimus UI and UX enhancements. Quick Button is a new UX enhancements that allows users to do some quick actions by customizing it. Quick Button works like a hot key that can perform certain functions easily, for example he Quick Button can be programmed so that in camera preview mode, pressing the button captures the photo and activates QuickMemo at the same time.

L5 II is available as single and dual SIM variants LG noted in the press release. It is a mid-range device and powered by a 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal memory.

“The Optimus L5II will offer consumers another great option among devices in the premium 3G market,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “We believe that the Optimus L5II will prove to be irresistible to people looking for a feature-rich smartphone that complements their unique and individual styles.”
