NetNewsWire 4 feed reader enters open beta

As the date for Google Reader’s demise is close we have several options for accessing feeds, Feedly and others are bringing their feed readers to the public. While Feedly, Digg Reader, MultiPLX and AOL Reader are good for the consumptions of feeds on the web what about the desktop readers. NetNewsWire came to the rescue for Mac users it will allow people to bring their Google Reader feeds to the desktop. With NetNewsWire 4 it entered public beta today and you can download the Mac feed reader to your system.

NetNewsWire Open beta

In Open beta it is now available as a free download, but once it reaches final version you have to pay $20 for the app. If you want to pre-order now you can do that now and pay just $10. It is a more refined version of the early NNNW 3 lite version. It works with Mac OS X 10.7.3 or later.

Along with the official version you can expect the iPhone and iPad versions of the app, along with those versions you will also get Sync functionality.
