Nokia Lumia 720 announced, Features & Specs

Nokia has announced Lumia 720, a mid range Windows Phone 8 device that  fills the gap between Lumia 620 and Lumia 820 today at MWC 2013. Nokia also announced Lumia 520 an entry level phone along with low end feature phones.

Nokia Lumia 720 is a stylish phone targeted towards young social crowd according to Nokia, it packs a camera with impressive features that will appeal to a design-savvy crowd Nokia hopes. It has a 6.7 MP camera at the rear with auto focus, LED Flash and Carl Zeiss optics. It can record upto 720p HD video @30 fps. It has f/1.9 aperture, the large aperture helps in getting more light into the camera translating to better pics in low light, read night life. Nokia is highlighting the camera of this phone in it’s press release for this fact. Lumia 720 also packs a 1.3MP front camera with wide angle, which is good for self portraits and Skype video calling according to Nokia. Along with the cameras it also packs Nokia’s digital lenses like Cinemagraph and Smart Shoot.

Lumia 720 at 9mm in thickness is leek and with the polycarbonate unibody Nokia is hoping that it has enough enticing features.

It has a 4.3-inch ClearBlack display with Corning Gorilla glass protection. It also packs Nokia HERE Maps and Nokia Music like goodies.

The Lumia 720 will be available from March 2013 and will retail with a starting price of $329. It will be introduced in China first and later in other markets. It will be made available in red, white, cyan, black and yellow colors.
