Samsung Galaxy SII may not get Android 4.2 update dur to TouchWiz issues

If you own a Samsung Galaxy S II then this is not good news for you, once Samsung’s flagship Android phone Galaxy S II won’t be updated to the Android 4.2, it will stay forever at Android 4.1.2. According to a German site Connect.de Samsung is skipping the Android 4.2 update “due to adjustment problems in the TouchWiz interface”.

Earlier the Galaxy SII and Galaxy Note were included in a Samsung Android update roadmap and users are pretty happy about that. Samsung planned for the update but due to the above said issue with TouchWiz interface the plans are canned. Samsung Galaxy S II was first released in 2011 and saw two major updates in its life time in the form of Android 4.0 and Android 4.1.

Sammobile reports that the Samsung Galaxy SII Plus will be getting the Android 4.2.2 update and they are not sure of the Galaxy SII regular one though. There are also reports earlier that Samsung will skip the Android 4.2 update for some devices and will directly update them to Android 4.3.
