Micromax has another smartphone in its range of canvas devices, the latest is the Canvas Doodle. Micromax A111 Canvas Doodle first appeared a few days back with leaked images and specs. It is priced officially at Rs. 15999 and is available online from Snapdeal.com for a price of Rs. 12,999. It is an upgraded version of the popular Micromax Canvas 2 smartphone.
Canvas Doodle is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor with Adreno 203 GPU, it is the same processor that is found in Karbonn Smart Titanium 1. It comes with a 5.3-inch Capacitive multi touch screen with a qHD resolution. It has only 512MB RAM, this is the main drawback of this phone, if Micromax wants to really sell this phone like other Canvas phones at least 1GB RAM would have been better.
Other specifications of the phone include an 8MP rear camera with a 0.3MP front camera. It comes with 4GB of ROM, out of which 1.22GB is available to the user. It also supports micro SD card upto 32GB. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB, GPS, 3G etc. It is a dual-SIM phone and runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
