Reliance Communications and Lenovo to launch five Android smartphones below Rs. 8000

Reliance Communications and China based device manufacturer Lenovo entered into a partnership to release low cost Android smartphones targeting the budget conscious customers. The smartphones will come with dual-band technology that is both CDMA and GSM. These phones will be co-branded by RCom and Lenovo and are exclusive to Reliance network customers.

RCome and Lenovo are expected to launch 4 to 5 smartphones below Rs. 8000, and they will carry Android OS. Specifications of the phones is not yet announced except that they will come with dual-core 1GHz processor, given the price point expect MediaTek processors.

The first batch of smartphones from this partnership will arrive in this March. They will be available across Reliance Digital and Lenovo stores across the country.
