Easy duplicate file finder offers easy to use interface. Add the directories you want to search for duplicate files and then select masks if you want to search for specific file types only (mp3 or Jpeg) and start searching for files. No more guessing of tinyurls, LongURL expands short urls

If you are a twitter user, or regularly receive tinyurl or other short url you never know where these links will take you. LongURL wants to help you to expand these links and see where they are leading you before opening the link.

LongURL has simple interface, just input the short url and click expand to see where the link is leading. Yes it may not be feasible all the time to go to the site and input the links, LongURL has tools for that. LongURL Firefox Extension and Greasemonkey Userscript do the same as web interface does. After installing Firefox Addon just hover any short url and it will display the link as a tooltip.

Firefox 3.1 to get private browsing mode

FirefoxFirefox 3.1 will get a private browsing mode by the end of the year, in the wake of Google Chrome’s InCognito mode and IE8’s InPrivate mode it makes sense for Firefox to add private browsing.

Private browsing mode deletes all user activity once the user closes private mode and returns to normal mode. The information like bookmarks which users save explicitly will be saved to the disk and all other data will be removed leaving no traces of what you browse.

Software Key Revealer and Game Key Revealer

Softkey Revealer is a tiny app for revealing software keys for the software installed on your computer. It supports around 700 software applications according to the developer.

if you lose the original key of the software you installed, this little app comes in handy. It is a portable application that runs on just download the zip archive and unzip it. Open the application, it will scan your disk and displays all the software it found on the main window. To save the list click the save button it will open the keys in notepad. Greasemetal: Greasemonkey for Google Chrome

Google Chrome doesn’t have native support for extension yet, but developers are finding ways to get addons like Greasemonkey to work with Google Chrome. Kazuho Oku found a way to get some greasemoney user scripts to run in Google chrome.

Greasemetal is a userscript runtime for Google Chrome. Using greasemetal you can run some userscripts in google chrome browser, the userscripts which require greasemonkey functionality won’t work in this release. The developer says the scripts which run in Opera should probably run in google chrome.

3 New Features from Gmail Labs

Gmail labs introduced 3 new features today, these are useful little tweaks for the Gmail. If you have Gmail Labs enabled you can get these features. Go to settings, select Labs and enable these features to use them. The three features include, Custom Label Colors, Goto Label and Navbar drag and drop.

Custom label colors allows you to select custom colors for the labels. Earlier only few colors are available for Labels, now you can get many colors by selecting Add custom colors.
